    Greetings @Hawke7689,

We'll do our best to help but at the moment it's very hard to say what might or might not have happened. Before we can even begin to determine what transpired we need to learn more about your setup.

    1. What operating system do you use e.g. macOS, Windows, iOS or Android and what version?
    2. What version of the 1Password app/application do you have installed and running?
    3. What is your preferred browser?
    4. What version of the 1Password Browser Extension do you have installed in this browser?

Here is a link to one of our support pages.

Change your passwords and make them stronger

This is how 1Password works and I'm supplying the link for two reasons. It may be you haven't seen this and don't know how 1Password works but more importantly if something is going wrong it can be used as a reference to describe where things went wrong and how they deviated from what we led you to expect. On Mac and Windows, if you completed steps 1 & 2 but something went wrong after this you should find there exists a Password item in your vault. The Password item is a safety net created by the Password Generator in case anything goes wrong. So if 1Password did not offer to update an existing Login item it may be worth looking for a Password item and that manually updating the Login item to correct 1Password's mistake.

We'll see what we learn from your response and how best to proceed.
