Blank Mini Overlay blocking everything?
I'm running into an issue where when using the browser extension (Safari) the mini window pops up and is usually completely obscuring the extension so that I cannot see what I'm selecting. Disabling the "Show mini app icon in the menu bar" allowed me to shift the mini app (still empty) off to the side so that I can at least see what I'm doing now, but it's still annoying to have it pop up and be completely empty. Opinions?

What you've described sounds similar to the issue reported here:
1Password mini menu won't go away [known issue with 1Password for Mac 6.8, 6.8.1 will fix issue]
… and in other discussions.
When this happens, a workaround is to choose Help > Troubleshooting > Restart 1Password mini from the menu bar in the main 1Password app.
