I've been using 1P for MacOS for since v.3, and added to iPhone last year or so.
Since having to restore the iPhone, mobil version presents with a 'Start my trial' window.

1Password Version: 1P 6.8
Extension Version: Safari 4.6.9 Firefox 4.6.10.9
OS Version: OSX 10.12.6
Sync Type: ?

@johncs: Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry for the trouble! The terminology can be a bit confusing, but normally "restore" means returning to factory settings. Is that what you did? If so, all of your data is gone. However, if you mean restoring your device from an iTunes/iCloud backup, unfortunately this process does not always restore all data (or even apps). Do you have your 1Password data on your Mac (or another device)? If so, you can sync it from there. Let me know what you have to work with and we'll go from there!

@johncs: 1Password 6 is no longer being actively developed, but we'll release critical security fixes for it if necessary, and we're always happy to help if you have questions about it. :)

I restored my iPhone to factory settings, and updated to the latest iOS, now when I downloaded the 1password app it asks for a "secret key". I've always just had a master password. How can I download the 1password 6 app so I can use the app the way I was prior to restoring?

  • Hi @rforfar

You wouldn't be able to download 1Password 6 for iOS any longer, but it really wouldn't help in this case anyway. You'll only have a Secret Key if you have a 1Password subscription membership. If you don't you'll need to select the sync option that you'd been using previously:

I hope that helps. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to ask.

    Ben
