I can not use my 1Password Chrome extension
Hi everyone, I've just upgraded my 1Password on my mac, normally upgrade comes with good and better features, but unfortunately now I can not use anymore my 1Password Chrome extension!
I have purchased a 1Password licenses a few months ago, always love the software and I always suggested to all my friends and colleagues, however, I think now it is really unfair if I want to carryon to use my 1Password Chrome extension I have to sign and create a subscription!
I mean I have purchased a license from a free version to be able to use the new features such as 1Password Chrome extension and now all the sudden things are change and you are taking away features that I have rightly purchased at the time???

@mmargiotta: Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry for the confusion! It sounds like something is just out of date.

Nope. That's simply not true. Since some changes are happening with Chrome, we've had to make some to 1Password to remain compatible, so you'll just need to have the latest version of each for them to work together:
- Update 1Password (it looks like you've done this already): https://1password.com/downloads/
- Update Chrome: chrome://settings/help
- Update the 1Password extension: https://agilebits.com/onepassword/extensions
- Restart your Mac and you should be good to go
I hope this helps. Be sure to let me know if you have any other questions! :)

I have updated 1password desktop and chrome extension, and I can't login. I folowed all the instructions, but it does not work. I have license key, but don't know how to input.

OK. I read the related docs again, and installed 1password standalone version (1password 4), and it solved. Thanks.

Hi there @heomin61,
Great news! :+1: I am glad to hear you've figured it out.
If you have a standalone license and have a Windows PC, you should download and use 1Password 4 for Windows, not 1Password 6, as the latter does not support local vaults and standalone licenses. The support for them is coming to 1Password 7 for Windows, so please stay tuned for future updates and more news.
Should you have any other questions about 1Password for Windows or 1Password in general, please feel free to contact us anytime. We are always ready to help. :chuffed:
Cheers,
