macOS 10.12.6 / 1Password 6.8.1
I noticed today that 1password/1password mini didn't start anymore. When I click to start 1password the mac-"waterball" starts turning and don´t stop.

Only possibility to stop the process is via "activity display". did not know what happened.

Is it useful to re-install 1password so that possibly damaged program files will repaired by overwrite them?

Br Jörg

Hi @joerg_b -- sorry for the trouble! That's certainly not common, expected or acceptable behavior. The first thing I'd do is restart your Mac, since it seems as if something fundamental is perhaps gone wrong - background process crash, etc. If you get this same result after a reboot of your Mac, let us know.

Hey Lars, it sounds strange but ironically at the moment everything is working again, without re-boot. I will remember your advise when it´s occurs again. Br Jörg

@joerg_b -- well, I can't explain what I didn't actually witness, but it sounds as if some CPU-intensive process may have been temporarily hogging your processor? Maybe a backup or other scheduled maintenance? Regardless, if it's working now, I'd say just keep an eye on it and let us know if the problem recurs. Enjoy your week! :)
