Touch ID Not Functioning on 2016 MBP 13"

Touch ID functionality suddenly stopped working today for 1PW only. I no longer see the fingerprint when trying to log in on the main application, nor on the Safari or Chrome extensions, and don't even see the ability to enable Touch ID in the security pane within "Preferences"

    Hi @mattmoretti1 - Hmmm...I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm not sure immediately what might be causing the problem. We were indeed having some inconsistencies with TouchID in 6.8, but Rudy did a lot of work squashing bugs in 6.8.1, and I see you're already updated to 6.8.1. I wonder if a simple reboot of your system might help this? Or have you tried that already? If not, give that a go and let us know what happens.
