How can I back up my stand alone 1Password v6.8.2 for iOS to MacBook?
I bought stand alone 1Password for iOS some years ago and I keep on having it updated. My 1Password is now version 6.8.2.
How can I back my 1Password to Mackbook Air?
Also when I open 1Password and go to Settings there is a 1Password Accounts and when I tap it is shows Add Existing Account which leads to sign-in address, email address, your secure key and master password. I have not used those before but I use a password or touch ID to open 1Password. Could you please advise what those are for and what details I need to put in there if required? I don't want to lose my passwords stored in 1Password.
Please advise. Thanks.
1Password Version: 6.8.2
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: iOS 10.3.3
Sync Type: iCloud

Hi @hagios,
Thanks for writing in. You can read about backing up standalone vaults here:
1Password backups
The 1Password Accounts preference pane is for 1Password.com subscription membership accounts. You can read about those here:
What are the benefits of a 1Password membership?
One of the benefits is automatic backups stored on 1Password.com. :)

Thanks Ben. I will look at it.
On another matter, 1Password has a new update for iOS 11. I have iOS 10.3.3 on my iPhone 5s. I did not download the update as I am sure if it will affect the 1Password app. Could you please advise if I need to download the update or should I update to iOS 11 first if my phone is compatible.0 -
@hagios: I believe the answer is yes on both counts, as the iPhone 5S was the first 64-bit iOS device, and the current version of 1Password for iOS supports iOS 9, 10, and 11. Be sure to backup your 1Password data and backup your device to iCloud and/or iTunes before upgrading to iOS 11. Cheers! :)
