WatchTower not alerting me

So at https://1password.com/families/ it says this about the Watchtower service:

"Watchtower service

Receive around-the-clock alerts whenever there are security breaches for the services and sites that your family uses."

1) I never receive any kind of alerts from Watchtower.
2) Today I clicked (using the families, i.e. web app) on an entry to use it and a red banner appeared at the top "Vulnerability alert...change password". Why was I not alerted to this whenever I login to 1password (either through ios, the web app, or the desktop)?? I'm glad I'm being warned but I'd like to be warned of all vulnerabilities when I login.

What am I doing wrong?

    I figured it out. The mac app wasn't showing any vulnerability when I clicked on Watchtower because the vulnerable item was in a vault that wasn't included in "All vaults". As soon as I selected the vault Watchtower showed it.
