forgot passcode
I was using fingerprint and now the icon for that doesn't show up and I cannot remember my passcode. I purchased the app years ago and used an email I no longer have so I can't get my license number for the app.

Hi there @mac189 :)
By design, nobody but you, not even AgileBits themselves, has your Master Password. If you forgot it, I would suggest trying these steps and seeing if it helps you remember it.0 -
I have tried several things. Why is there no fingerprint choice when I open the app? I could get in that way but it wants my passcode only.

Is there no Touch ID button on the login page? Did you restart your phone recently? Sometimes, depending on how the program is set, it will ask for your Master Password before re-enabling Touch ID.

I am having the same issue. The Touch ID disappeared and I don't get a password hint even after I failed like 20 times!!! I have spent weeks trying to get this solved. I followed every reset, restore step I could find. Curiously I never had an issue with the app's old version when I only had to enter my PIN.
Is there anything I can do before I give up on you?0 -
Upgraded to IoS 11 and the current version of the app. I was able to use it this morning without issue but walked into the office and the password isn't working. Worse, for some reason, touch ID isn't Popping up to log in. Can someone please offer some assistance?

I had posted earlier about this and apparently my thread was removed or deleted. I was able to use the app with earlier today, however the master password is no longer working and the touch ID isn't appearing on the app. I'm on IoS 11 and the current build of the app.
I've also emailed help and have received no rely.

Hi folks,
I’ve merged a few threads on the same subject. Please see Corey’s replies above. :)

Ben - I tried the steps above and it doesn't work as the clicking the link within my email app launches the 1Pass app which I cannot get into in the first place. I'm unable to log in through my PC as my password is currently in the app which I cannot access. Please advise.

If you're not able to remember or find your Master Password it will not be possible to access your 1Password data. We have a guide on starting over available here:
How to reset your 1Password data and start over - 1Password Support
This is of course a last resort. I'd highly recommend trying all of the steps in this guide before doing so:
If you forgot your Master Password or you can't unlock 1Password
Thanks.

I do know the password. I keep it in hard format to prevent this type of issue. The app simply isn't accepting it. Starting over really isn't ideal and would create a problem for me. There really are no other options available?

Could you try typing the Master Password into a note in the Notes app, and then if it appears correctly there copy + paste it into 1Password? That would rule out any strange keyboard issues. Please delete the note after the test, just to be safe.
Have you made any changes to 1Password recently? You're positive you haven't recently changed the Master Password, or signed up for a 1Password.com trial membership?
The only way to decrypt your data is to enter the correct Master Password -- there is no way around that.

Just tried that and it isn't working. Other than IoS 11 and the updated version of the App, there have been no major changes to the app or my iPhone. I created a 1password account, but have not signed up for the service.
I've used this app for years and until recently it has been a good app. However, I'm extremely disappointed that through no fault of my own, I'm now in a position where I'm going to need to spend hours updating many different passwords. Technology is supposed to make lifer easier, not more difficult. I'll delete the app, but I simply cannot place my trust back in your application.

The only explanation I can come up with is that you’re entering the Master Password differently than you were previously. We haven’t heard any other reports of updating to iOS 11 or 1Password 6.8.2 causing problems unlocking, and it seems unlikely that such an issue would affect only your device.
