new popup menu too aggressive

I hate to do this, because I love the new popup box, but:

sometimes it pops up on a site where I don't actually have a saved credential. And I gleefully type away into the login field and password fields. And then I hit "Return", but 1Password intercepts the "Return" key and overwrites my carefully typed login info with whichever (incorrect) login happened to be selected at the time...

In other words, it's somewhat counter-intuitive (to me) that the popup is only intercepting a few keys (I'm guessing arrows and "Return").

  • Hi @haraldwithtwoehs. Yup, the inline menu was a little too excited to make its big debut and could certainly use better manners. :) We're aware of both of these bugs:

    1. The inline menu steals the Enter key even when no item is selected
    2. The inline menu appears when there are no credentials

Both will be fixed in an upcoming release. Thanks for your help!

    Cheers,
    Mitch
