Camera image capture feature request
So, 2 years ago I submitted a suggestion here: https://discussions.agilebits.com/discussion/29216/feature-request-image-capture-from-camera-under-consideration-for-the-future#latest
Every time I try to use the document attachment feature (I'd like to add pictures my insurance cards to the insurance card info) I find the UI frustrating. I'm a developer and honestly, sure it makes sense how you guys implemented it. A relational table of "documents" that then are linked to the info items.
You know where it doesn't make sense? From a user perspective. I want a 1-1 relationship between a photo and an info record and when I delete the info record, go ahead and delete the photo.
Please, **please ** take this simple workflow into account: 1. add record for some store membership card, 2. click button to take a picture, 3. camera comes up, 4. I take a picture, 5. camera closes and picture is attached to the record. It really is this simple with lots of apps. I'm not asking you guys to add a million document scanning features, although I'm sure you can just buy a library.
Thank you, and I hope this can bring this higher on your features to build list.

Thanks for the feedback, @Ilya Voloshin :) We'd definitely like to make the creation of Documents and Related Items more flexible. We've also discussed implementing attachments, which would work much as you describe (the attachment being connected to the item in a way that deleting the item would also delete the attachment).
I can't make any promises, other than to say that discussions will continue, and we'll take your suggestion into consideration. :)

Hi there,
I strongly support Ilja’s request.
I’m about to get rid of my laptop and use an iPad only in the future. Therefore I’m facing the similar issue like he does.
I would like to keep banking TAN lists in 1P. Due to lack of camera support in 1P, I have to take a unsatisfactory workaround which is like that:Taking picture of the document
Store it intermediately on insecure media (cloud drive, photo library)
Attach image to 1P item (not on IOS - right?!)
Remove image from drive or photo lib (hopefully)Would be much better to to picture in 1P directly and attach it to (any) item.
Thx,

Thanks for the feedback Jürgen! As I mentioned above we don’t have firm plans in this direction right now, but we’re certainly always looking for ways in which we can improve the offering. We have had some discussions about Documents/attachments and I’m sure those discussions will continue.
Also — Documents can currently be created inside 1Password.com membership vaults from iOS (using the Camera Roll), but attachments in standalone vaults cannot (and it seems unlikely at this point that will change).
