IOS Feature suggestion. Lock button on left side.

Have suggested via email about a year ago. A convenient lock button on left side to quickly lock app rather than sliding app off screen or drilling down to settings -> security -> Lock Now.

Thanks for taking the time to write in.

I don’t think this is something we’re going to be able to do, unless Apple eventually phases out devices with smaller screens. On such devices the UI can already feel somewhat cramped, especially for folks who may need to use larger text sizes or other accessibility features. If those devices are phased out then that may be something we can consider. As it is we’re already in a position where we need to cut UI elements. If you look at the latest beta version of iOS we’re trying out removing the 1Browser icon.

We do appreciate the feedback, and if the landscape shifts we’ll certainly take this into consideration.

Thanks Ben. What about a gesture or swipe, like an L gesture to lock.

That might be something that would be more realistic. I’ll be happy to pass the suggestion along to the team for their consideration.
