Chrome beta extension not working

Hi,
I'm new to 1password and decided to give it a try after I saw this Chrome beta extension.
The problem is I don't know if the extension has problem or if I'm missing something.
I'm testing it on both linux and mac and non of them seem to do anything. Not suggesting to save passwords or helping with password generation. I have chrome password manager turned on. But I tried turning if off and it didn't help.

    The extension currently does not support saving and generating of passwords. This will come in a future update (if I'm not mistaken)

    Hey @saboorian,

    Welcome to the 1Password for Chrome beta!

    Autosaving new Login items certainly a core 1Password feature and will be included in a future release of 1Password for Chrome.

    In the meantime, you can add items by signing in to your account, opening a vault, and clicking the + button at the bottom of the page.
