View document visible on Mac not on iPhone

I saved a document on my Mac. It is visible there but on my iPhone, recently updated to iOS11 it says "View Document" in Blue and beneath "No response code from server, No response code was received from server."
iOs version 6.9.1 Desktop version 6.8.3 extension version 4.6.11
Desktop running 10.12.6
On my iPad the document is visible

Yes, it's there now. So I have to have internet connection to see my documents? I assume my logins and passwords do not. Am I correct? Thank you @Ben

You only need to have internet the first time you view a document on each device. Once you view it on a device the device caches it. :)
