We have lost all data in your app...they are not synced together. Both my wife and I are missing all i password info. What has happened?

    @bks: Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry for the confusion! 1Password only syncs data if you have configured it to do so, or you're using a 1Password.com account. It also does not delete it's own data, but certainly sometimes upgrading iOS hardware or software can result in loss.

    Unfortunately without some basic information it's hard to say what might be going wrong and how we might right it! Please tell me the OS, 1Password, and device versions you're using, the exact steps you're taking, and what is (or is not) happening the way you expect so we can figure out the best plan of action:

    Find your version

    The more information you can give, the better. For instance, what sync method were you using previously? It's likely that you can just sync your data back the same way. Thanks in advance! :)

    Luckily for us, all of our data seemed to be automatically restored this morning. Must have been a glitch in your system as both our apps , with separate login lists were gone and now both are back. But, thanks for your suggestions, we will try those steps if we have trouble again.
    However, it was a good wake up call.....we shouldn’t rely on technology completely. I would like to be able to print out our login lists with all accompanying user names, passwords, etc. in order to keep a hard copy in a home safe. How can I do this?

    @bks,

    Thanks for the update. I’m glad to hear everything is working now.

    I understand your position, but have to disagree with your premise. It appears you’re not actually using our system. You’re only using the standalone 1Password app (no service). To use the service you’d need a 1Password.com membership, which is a subscription service. With that service your data is securely stored (encrypted with keys only you have) on 1Password.com. Without that... we don’t have your data, and so nothing we’d be able to do on our end would affect that.

    While printing all of your data from 1Password on iOS isn’t possible, it is possible to make a backup, which I’d definitely recommend doing:

    1Password backups - Standalone Vaults

    For the highest level of worry-free security and availability I’d highly recommend checking out our 1Password Families service (this is one of the levels of 1Password.com membership that we offer):

    Families - 1Password

    You can read about some of the benefits that you would get, that you do not have with your current arrangement, here:

    What are the benefits of a 1Password membership?

    And you can learn about how to migrate from your current setup to a membership here:

    Move your existing 1Password data to a 1Password account

    I hope that helps!

    Ben
