Trouble With From Filling, For Your Files FIOS/MyVerizon

So, this is after the login for FIOS/Verizon here in the States. https://myverizonid.verizon.com/amserver/UI/Login

1Password was having a heck of a time with updating the password and their PIN settings and in fact, at one point blanked out my user id when I was prompted to update and said yes.

Not a complaint or desire for fix per se, but something you might want to look at and see if it is their web dev team or something new and clever you can do.

@AlwaysSortaCurious: Thanks for reaching out! I hate to be a pain, but are you sure that's the right URL? This page looks broken to me, like the CSS is bad or something:

Also, is it just the password update process you're having trouble with? I'm not sure any of us has FIOS, so it might be good to get more details from you via email. Let me know if that's something that would work for you.

@brenty Yes. The page is really that ugly, CSS and all. 8-) So, I took a closer look. happy to help any way you want but perhaps the below helps add context or a clue to what 1Password is doing. The site def. makes use of overlays/lightbox kinda thing a lot.

Also, there is a prior page where they ask a secret question.

    Login:
https://www.verizon.com/home/myverizon/ (user id) which goes to https://myverizonid.verizon.com/amserver/UI/Login (password)

    You can go straight to
https://myverizonid.verizon.com/amserver/UI/Login (both user id and password)
This page also has the secret question appear (same URL, some CSS stuff) that 1Password dislikes and tries to update (known issue)

This is the page where it gets weird
    https://www.verizon.com/foryourhome/myaccount/pr/user/profile?frm=profile

Pops up overlays for the password, pin, and security question. All the same URL.

@AlwaysSortaCurious: Thanks so much! Unfortunately I don't have any way to test this properly. I can fill on all of those pages...but I suspect that there's more to it than that. I'm asking around to see if someone has an account they can use to look into this further. Thanks! :)

  • @brenty No problem. If you want, ill dump the source, css js and all...

I have a Verizon Wireless account, but not FiOS, so my credentials did not work for https://www.verizon.com/home/myverizon/ or https://www.verizon.com/foryourhome/myaccount/pr/user/profile?frm=profile But for https://myverizonid.verizon.com/amserver/UI/Login (opened directly), it filled fine. That being said, 1Password filled on the other two pages just fine; it's just that Verizon didn't accept my username there. I even tried manually entering it and it was rejected. I tested all of these situations in new Private Browsing windows in Safari to make sure everything was going from a clean slate. Does this match your experience or is something else happening?

  • The filling was fine on that page as well. It was the updating (see the first post) where things got weird. I'm guessing it was the overlay, along with accepting/allowing 1Password to save the changes kind of blanked out other valid values for that page. I'm thinking overlay/same URL, dynamic form fields, confusion.

Ah, thank you. Yeah I was seeing that but had no frame of reference without an actual account. Jamie seems to have a better handle on it as a result.
