Purchased years ago but never set up family. How do I set up other family members.

Also, is the upgrade to version 6 free?

    Hi @plvde01,

    Thanks for writing in. If you've purchased 1Password years ago, it's entirely possible (if not probable) that what you have is a standalone license to 1Password as opposed to a 1Password.com membership/account.

    We have a support article that explains the steps you would need to perform in order to convert to a 1Password Families account so that you can add family members. You can find that here: https://support.1password.com/migrate-1password-account/

    If you were to switch to 1Password Families, which requires a subscription, then the upgrade to 1Password 6 would be free.

    I can’t really offer much more of a walkthrough than what is available in the guide Rick mentioned. Where are you getting hung up? Perhaps we can clarify a step for you?
