Uninstalled 1Password, small lock icon still showing up in password fields

So basically I installed 1Password on my iPad, then uninstalled it, but the small lock icon that shows up in certain apps (like the Lynda app) still shows up even after 1Password is uninstalled. How can I get rid of this little 1Password icon that shows up in the password fields? When I tap it, it gives me nonsensical options, like Add to Notes, Save to Dropbox, Twitter, etc., which make no sense for a password field and furthermore cause the source app to simply freeze up.

I’ve also deleted my iCloud vault just in case it was that but to no avail.

  • Hi @jycwe

It is up to the app in question to display or not display the password manager extension icon. That said you may be able to trigger it to stop by reinstalling 1Password and then in Safari disabling the 1Password extension:

    • Open Safari and tap the Share icon.
    • Swipe left on the bottom row of icons and tap More.
    • Tap to turn OFF 1Password in the list of Activities.

You can then uninstall 1Password. If that does not resolve it then it is an issue the app developer would need to address. If you have feedback to share on why you’re removing 1Password we’d be interested in hearing it!

    Thanks!

    Ben
