No Sync option in Preferences
I'm trying to sync 1Password in iCloud. When I open the Preferences window, I see no Sync option. Is that because I'm in the 30-day trial? If not, where did the sync option go?
1Password Version: 6.8.6
Extension Version: 4.6.12
OS Version: OS X 10.13.3
Sync Type: Not Provided

No, it's because of the difference between the one-time licence and the subscription methods.
It's the same program whichever you use, but if you set up an ACCOUNT (which only exists in subscription mode) synchronisation is automatic through 1password.com.
If you want to control your own sync (using iCloud or Dropbox) then you need to be in the stand-alone licence mode. People who already had 1PW sync set up may prefer this, as will people who do not want any kind of cloud storage, but for most people the subscription is better (easier to install on several machines, has more options, etc)

I've been using 1Password for many years. I recently upgraded to version 7. I have been syncing via iCloud. My updated iOS devices have an iCloud Syncing option, but my Mac does not. I have no Sync tab in preferences. THere is no sync happening between my Mac and my phone. Please help.

Hi @austin7cups!
Have you by chance added a 1Password account to the 1Password 7 app? You can check it under 1Password Preferences > Accounts tab.
If you have a 1Password account added to the app, your data is synced via 1Password.com, so the Sync tab is hidden since you do not need iCloud anymore.

Hi Anna,
Yes I do have an account on my iphone and ipad apps are set up correctly, still they are not syncing. I have upgraded my office computer as well, and that's not syncing as well, the same is true of a family member. All have been using iCloud. It is a bit disturbing that those options have been removed, especially since the synking is not working. Where are the backups going to be located. That will happen when I am in China? I know iCloud works there. I feeling a bit at risk now, which has never been the case in my long history with 1Password.0 -
1Password memberships are an entirely 1st party service. A 3rd party generic cloud storage solution, such as iCloud, is not utilized when using a membership. So that we can dig in and see what is happening 'under the hood' here I'd like to ask you to create some diagnostics reports, one from each of your devices:
Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to
support+forum@agilebits.com
.With your email please include:
- A link to this thread:

That way I can "connect the dots" when I see your diagnostics in our inbox.
You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so I can track down the diagnostics and ensure that this issue is dealt with quickly. :)
Once I see the diagnostics I'll be able to better assist you. Thanks very much!
