I was running 1Password6 - downloaded from the Mac App Store - on my Macbook Pro. I back up to Time Machine regularly and wirelessly sync to both my iPhone and iPad.

I np longer have the Macbook Pro (long story) and I want to move 1Password to my desktop iMac.

As I originally bought it through the Mac App Store I have been able to download and install 1Password (Vs 6.8.6) to my iMac. I also have the Time Machine for the old Macbook Pro.

When I run 1Password on my iMac I am asked to select a location for my data to install on the iMac.

Can you tell me where on the Time Machine I can find the data files to use?

1Password Version: 6.8.6

  • @nbstarrenburg,

you'll need to copy /Volumes/<your time machine volume name>/Users/<your username>/Library/Containers/2BUA8C4S2C.com.agilebits.onepassword-osx-helper/ over to the equivalent location in your ~/Library/Containers folder.

It has all worked out just great, including re-syncing the iPad and iPhone.

  • Awesome. Thanks for the update. :+1: Glad to hear it worked out.
