Any chance of adding the ability to unlock 1Password with an Apple Watch, like you can with an iMac?

Its very nice to walk up to your Mac with your Apple Watch and unlock the computer, would be nice if 1Password would or could do the same thing.

@jackgattie - Thanks for the suggestion! You're absolutely right, that would be a timesaving (not to mention very cool) ability to have as 1Password users. Unfortunately, this isn't likely to happen anytime soon, because Apple doesn't make those APIs available to developers. Any way that we could come up with to circumvent the lack of having access to the official, secure way to do it (via Apple's APIs) has involved us storing your Master Password somewhere on your either your Mac or your Apple Watch in some form, and that's just not something we're going to do, for security reasons. So, unless Apple makes the unlock-with-watch APIs available (as they have done with other APIs like Touch ID and Face ID), we're probably not going to be able to do it securely, which means we won't be doing it at all.

@jackgattie - you're quite welcome! And you're far from the first person to think this would be a good thing -- because it would be. We just couldn't figure out a way to do it without access to those Apple APIs that met our security requirements (and our customers'!). Several insecure ways to do it, but, nope -- security has to be the primary concern for us. Drop by any time you have questions; we're here to help. :)
