Can't drag email as attachment into software license page on new computer, new install

Two computers, older and new, both with 1Password Mac, installed version 6.8.7 (from your web store, not Apple)

New computer, new installs as of yesterday: MacBook Pro running High Sierra (10.13.3), Mail 11.2. Cannot drag an email from Mail into the attachment area of a software license form. I let up on the trackpad, have a beachball for 30 seconds or so, back to 1P with no attachment added.

Old computer: iMac running Sierra (10.12.6), Mail 10.3. Drag and drop works fine and almost instantly.

Suggestions?

1Password Version: 6.8.7
Extension Version: N/A
OS Version: 10.13.3

@BillC - Indeed, there is such an issue, and it will not be present in future versions. But for now, your workaround is: drag it out to the desktop and then into 1Password. You won't have any problems then. The problem is apparently that sandboxing was either tightened or changed, so that our version of 1Password seems to access a slightly different NSTemporaryDirectory() path than the Mac App Store:

    • /var/folders/wn/1sqhr0rj1qv0cpd9j_mb6l380000gn/T/
      vs

    • /private/var/folders/wn/1sqhr0rj1qv0cpd9j_mb6l380000gn/T/com.agilebits.onepassword-osx/

That's why dragging it out to your desktop eliminates the problem: because it copies it to the desktop folder first, which we can definitely reach/read/import from. Hope that helps, and stay tuned for updates!
