iCloud and Dropbox vault ..

I have an interesting issue.
On my iPhone 8 Plus, I forgot my master password.
It was sync to iCloud.

I restore a iphone backup copy of iPhone onto a iPhone 6, I managed to login it iPassword, both iCloud and Dropbox version. ICloud version is more complete (not sure if it an updated version)

On my iPhone 8, I deleted of iPassword, and reinstall it, shen O try to open the iCloud Vault, it asked for a password - one that I have forgotten.

Any suggestion on what I can do?

Without sync to iCloud, I would not have a backup copy — iCloudcwill still be aroundbif Apple is continuing selling iPhone

@seni: Thanks for reaching out. I apologize in advance because I'm not completely sure I understand. But it sounds like you're saying you want the 1Password data in iCloud, but you do not know the Master Password for that data. If so, you're out of luck; you will not be able to access it. It is encrypted with the Master Password you set, and hence that is also needed to decrypt it. However, there is no harm in guessing. Please also try the tips in this guide as they may help you with that:

If that doesn't help though, you will need to either restore from a backup, sync from another device, or simply start over. You can try as many times as you want. You won’t be “locked out”, but you will not be able to access your data unless you can enter the required Master Password correctly. Please let me know how it turns out, or if you meant something else.

Thanks for the reply. Before posting I did go through the steps. I am now trying to copy out all the setting from the iphone6 info, and re enter to iphone8plus. But I do not have access to iCloud vault.

As mentioned, I am able to get the data from iCloud from another device (iphone6) which I use the older password.

How do I sync from that to iphone8plus when I cannot link to iCloud via 1Password. I remember the old password.

And I cannot start over because I cannot link to iCloud.

So the question are:
1 how do I sync my cloud vault access using iphone6 to iphone8plus?
2 how do I have iPhone8plus forget the existing link to iCloud and let me star from scratch?
3 how can export out the store info on iPhone6 iCloud?
4 how can I sync iphone6 iCloud vault to Dropbox?
5 if I choose Dropbox as primary vault on iphone8plus, I cannot add iCloud as additional vault. How to solve that.

@seni: Oh. I'm sorry. I think I misunderstood. It sounds like you already have your 1Password data on another device, want to use iCloud to sync it, but already have some other 1Password data in iCloud (to which you've forgotten the Master Password) that's getting in the way of you doing that. Is that correct? If so, just be sure to backup the 1Password data you want to keep, and then reset the 1Password data in iCloud:

In 1Password for Mac: In 1Password, choose Help > Troubleshooting > Reset iCloud Data.

In 1Password for iOS: Open and unlock 1Password, then tap Settings > Advanced. Scroll down and tap Erase iCloud Data.

You only need to do this on one device since it's clearing it from your iCloud account. Or you could use Dropbox or a 1Password.com membership instead, especially if you want to sync multiple vaults. I hope this helps. Be sure to let me know if you have any other questions! :)
