Is is possible to integrate 1Password mini or 1Password X with Wavebox on macOS?

Wavebox (http://wavebox.io/ and https://github.com/wavebox/waveboxapp) is cross-platform, open-source browser-based app for using a single app for multiple browser-based communication things. Among other things, it supports Gmail, Office365, Outlook, Slack, Trello, etc. I use it on macOS High Sierra 10.13.3, but it also runs on Windows and Linux.

The one problem I have with Wavebox is that it doesn't have native 1Password support/integration, so I end up having to copy/paste from 1Password rather than using the keyboard shortcuts I'm used to from my browser. Is there any way to force it to use either the 1Password Mini or 1Password X extensions?

In an ideal world, it would be supported across all platforms, but my personal priority would be macOS.

1Password Version: 6.8.8
Extension Version: 1Password X 1.6.0
OS Version: macOS 10.13.3
Sync Type: 1Password for families

  • Hi @alanhoyle,

We don’t currently have plans to add support for additional browsers, but if Wavebox is Chromium based (I’m not familiar with it enough to say) or supports Chromium-like extensions it may be something we can consider for 1Password X down the road.

    Thanks for the feedback!

As an aside, the latest Wavebox 10.x versions support Chrome extensions natively, so I've been using 1PX in there for a month or two on my Macs and other platforms.

  • Thanks for the update @alanhoyle. :)
