Update existing Logins
Hey,
in this Video we can see a popup for updating a saved Login.
https://youtu.be/XKGTS6lhI-4?t=43s
But when i try this by myself it doesn't work. No Popup even when i try this by clicking the 1Password X icon. There is no Option "Update Saved Login".
Is this Option not working?
Greetings

Hello again @blaxxz! You and I talked a lot today. 🙂 It's all good, I'm just making conversation. 😀
Yes, absolutely, Update Login is a thing and should be working on the majority of websites. Let's use Evernote as an example to show how it works:
- Go to Evernote's registration page
- Enter your email address
- Tab to the password page, use the Suggested Password from the inline 1Password menu
- You'll be prompted to save. Do so.
- Make a change to the username or the password field and the inline menu will offer an Update Login option.
That's the easiest way to see it in action but it should also appear for Change Password pages after filling a newly generated password.
Please give that a whirl and let us know how it turns out.
Cheers! 🍻

What is if i can delete 1P X completely?
Are there any Folders that i must delete after uninstall the extension?
So that i can install 1P X new and clean?0 -
Hey @blaxxz,
I'm late to the party, but I'd love to help out. Could you please let me know what browser (Firefox, Chrome, Vivaldi) you're using and it's version (you can usually find that on the about page)?
As for removing 1Password X completely, by default, most browsers delete the local storage and database we create so you don't need to do anything special. To remove 1Password X on Chrome right-click the 1Password logo and select "Remove from Chrome.." and on Firefox, you can click the remove button on the Add-ons page (Tools > Add-ons) or
about:addons
in your location bar. Please let me know your version number, and we'll do our best to get this sorted out together. 💙

I'm using:
Chrome 65.0.3325.181 x64
1P X: 1.6.00 -
@blaxxz: Great, thanks!
Just to double-check, are you not seeing a prompt that looks like this at all? Or do you see a prompt and that's only offering to Save a New Login?
If you're not seeing a prompt at all, then it's possible you have an extension installed that is conflicting with 1Password X. Can you try temporarily disabling any other extension and trying the steps Dave provided?
Thanks,

I see the prompt like in your Picture.
When i edit my Login and click on Safe this Login, 1P X asked me to update this. Like in your Picture.
But look the Video in my first post. The prompt to edit my saved login looks so much different.
I thought this sould be come then.0 -
@blaxxz: Oh, I see!
You'll only see that update option if you make a change to the login form before refreshing or navigating away from the page a new 1Password item was just saved on. Here's a quick video where I do that following the Evernote example Dave posted.
Your browser does not support the video tag.The example use case is after I save a new Login item I noticed my email is wrong or the password generated doesn't meet the websites complexity requirements. The Update Saved Login in your screenshot allows me to fix that quickly.
I hope that helps, but please let us know if you'd like further clarification.
