I can't apply the license I have so I can be added to a family plan.

So for weeks, I have been trying to figure out how to be added to my fathers 1Password family account. He sent me the license and when I click on "Apply your 1Password License" I get a window that says "You are Licensed". I thought that meant that I am added to his account but when I look at my account under preferences it says I am still in Trial mode. I could really use some help.
