Deleted 1Password account still displayed as existing account

I am logged into 1Password on my iPhone with my active 1Password account. Within Settings/1Password Accounts/Add Existing Account, an account which I had previously created and recently deleted is still displayed. Is there a way that it can be removed. Unfortunately as the account was created over a year ago, I no longer can recall my password or have my emergency kit information. I have tried deleting items in my Mac keychain that reference 'b5credentials' but unfortunately this did not resolve my problem. I was wondering if there may be any other possible solutions?

    @LPMess: Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry for the trouble! I don't believe it's possible to do that currently, and Apple doesn't expose iCloud Keychain data anywhere that you're could try to remove it yourself. It's something we can consider adding an option for though if it's something that a lot of folks want. Thanks for bringing this up!

    Thanks, it would be nice to have some capability of removing deleted accounts that still remain showing as an available account in 1Password for IOS.

    Have you tried logging into this account within 1Password for iOS since it was deleted? If not please try. Even if you don’t remember the credentials — try with the wrong password. I believe if you try logging into it 1Password will check with the server, realize the account has been deleted, and remove it from the list.

    Ben,
    Thanks for the suggestion. I tried several times entering an incorrect password but unfortunately the account has remained displayed as an available account. Each time after entering, a pop-up message appears - 'A problem with your sign in. Please check your master password or sign in manually with details from your Emergency Kit of a signed in device.'

    Following up here. Development is looking that the issue that I filed about this back in May. I'm not able to reproduce this issue using the latest version of 1Password for iOS. Could you please let me know if using that version you're able to successfully remove the deleted account from iCloud Keychain? Try adding the deleted account to 1Password for iOS using any Master Password and it should detect that the account has been deleted and remove it.

  • Additionally, if the problem does persist, are you trying to add the account from the setup screen, or from within 1Password (after unlocking) in 1Password > Settings > Accounts?

    Ben,
    Yes I can confirm that with the latest version of 1Password for IOS my old account that I had deleted and removed from the iCloud keychain no longer shows as an existing account. Problem is resolved. Thanks for the follow-up.
