Are standalone vaults needed or necessary to keep on iOS devices after 1password.com migration?

Hello,

After moving to the 1password.com family account my iOS iPhone 8 plus shows 3 vaults on the device (Primary, Vault 1, and Vault 2) and three under my account name (Private, Test, and Shared). The "Private" vault has all of my items from the "Primary" vault and when an item is changed in "Private" it almost immediately is reflected in all my Apple devices so that's good.

Should I delete the (Primary, Vault 1, and Vault 2) vaults in the iOS 1Password sandbox? Are they needed anymore?

Am I correct in that WLAN syncing (as I used to do it) is no longer necessary?

Many thanks in advance...
:)

  • Hi @BMSorlie51

You are correct that you no longer need to use the WLAN server to sync your 1Password data. As for removing the other vaults: yes, they should be removed once you have verified your data is all available on 1Password.com. If you've copied or moved all of your data over then yes, they can and should be removed. Note that the Primary vault has to be removed last.

    Thanks!

    Ben
