I am running 1Password on MacOSHighSierra. When I log into 1Password it says 'trial expired - click here to buy'. What trial? I have paid for my licence and at the moment, 1password is not synching. Pls advise.

  • Hi @Addormit,

Licenses do not include 1Password membership. It sounds as though you may be signed into a membership account. Could you please confirm in 1Password > Preferences > Accounts? Please don’t take further action at this point, but if you could please confirm that suspicion that would help us get you pointed in the right direction.

    Thanks.

Thanks. It says Sign in to your 1Password Account.

  • Thanks. In that case you may simply need to apply your license. Did you purchase from us or from the Mac App Store? Did you download this copy from us or from the Mac App Store? Those answers need to match. Then, if you purchased from us, locate your license file and double click on it. If you are having trouble finding it please see this guide:

If you see “Trial Expired” in 1Password

    I hope that helps!

Hi Ben: I have installed 1Password on a new Mac, retrieved the license code, and double-clicked the file, but 1Password (6.8.8) still thinks it's in an expired Trial Period. This is a version purchased directly from AgileBits. MacOS 10.12.6. What am I doing wrong? btw: This is a stand-alone app, there are no "Accounts".

  • @sruzin:

Did you download 1Password from the Mac App Store? If so please see this guide:

How to switch to the version of 1Password from the AgileBits website

    @sruzin,

I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Mac:

    Sending Diagnostics Reports (Mac)

Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support+forum@agilebits.com.

    With your email please include:

    • A link to this thread: https://discussions.agilebits.com/discussion/comment/429323/#Comment_429323
    • Your forum username: sruzin

That way we can "connect the dots" when we see your diagnostics in our inbox.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number.  Please post that number here so we can track down the diagnostics and ensure that this issue is dealt with quickly. :)

Once we see the diagnostics we'll be able to better assist you. Thanks very much!

    Hi,

I am having the same problem as this user seemed to be having. I have a license for 1password 6 that I installed on a second Mac, but the app is saying that my trial has expired, even though it also has a record of my license. I double-checked and I am not signed into a membership account. I tried re-downloading the app but the issue persists. Thanks!

  • Hey @rebg, I'm sorry to hear you're seeing this too! Would you mind sending in a Diagnostics report as well with the instructions that Ben outlined above? We'll continue from there!
