6.8.9 broke Opera! [update to Opera 53 or later]

I use Opera and have not had ay issues until this weekend when I installed the 6.8.9 update on both my macs. Despite restarting, I get the "cannot validate your browser" error every time now.

1Password Version: 6.8.9
Extension Version: 4.7.1.90
OS Version: mac OS 10.13.4
Sync Type: 1password account
Referrer: forum-search:latest update to 1password (6.8.9) broke Opera!

    Can you try updating Opera to the latest version?

    I'm having exactly the same issue. Have tried restarting, deleting and reinstalling the Opera extension. It seems 6.8.9 completely deleted Opera functionality.

    MacBook Pro 15-inch (2016), Sierra 10.12.6 , Opera 52.0

    Hmmm... OK. As I was typing that a new version of Opera hit. It now seems to work for Opera 53.0 .

    Had this same issue. I opened the "about opera" dialog, which prompted opera to start downloading the update.
