I just downloaded the 30-day 1Password 7 trial (an upgrade from v6) and everything is marked as Read Only. This can't be right. How do I fix this?

  • The upgrade to 1Password 7 requires either a 1Password membership or a purchase of a standalone license.

When first setting up 1Password 7 you will have been prompted to either set up a membership or purchase a license, and both of those options remain available to you.

You can create a 1Password membership and add it your account on your Mac, or you can click on the 1Password 7 -> Purchase 1Password... menu item to buy a license.

Once you have done either of those you should find 1Password in full edit mode.

Hi Jeff. I understand that I can purchase 1Password. However, I downloaded what is supposed to be a 30-day trial. It is day 1 of the trial.

@2349378428 Sorry about the confusion. 1Password 7 has a 30-day free trial with a 1Password membership. If you prefer to use the standalone version, that doesn't include a trial. You can purchase a license to use it. :)
