App Drag & Drop?

HI

I see the feature mentioned in the blog but can't seem to get it to work. Does it only work for specific apps? If so do you have a list of supported apps? If it's not app specific how do you initiate a drag as it doesn't seem to work

    Doesn't work for me either.
    Read about it in the blogpost and another review mentioned it as well, but I can't drag and drop anything.
    Tried it with different apps, the new 1P mini and the main 1P window.

    I tried it with the Mac App Store. It doesn’t work with that.

    Hm, so maybe this feature doesn’t work in the Mac App Store version?
    Hopefully somenone from AgileBits can clarify.

    I also needed a moment, but you may not start the drag & drop on the username or password box.
    As you can see in the video, you have to start the drag on the writing "Password".

    I don't use it myself, because I made a macro with Keyboard Maestro to unlock Mac apps and system prompts (user account etc.) via autofill. Comparable to logging into browser accounts.

    Have a look here... ;)

    Did appleianer's post help? They're right, you need to start the drag on the label but as long as you do I've found it to work quite reliably. If you're still having trouble despite that amazing GIF please do let us know.

    Hi @Robs,

    It isn't very intuitive but I suspect it's partly because clicking on the actual password has long been the mouse action for copying to clipboard. Maybe it can be refined now we've got the first version out the door :smile:

    @Robs
    Glad I could help :)

    @littlebobbytables
    Thank you very much for the "amazing gif" :) I think that sometimes pictures (gif, video) can say more than words ;)

    Thanks to @1Password (Twitter) for the info 👍
    1Password mini also starts drag & drop if you start next to the password or user name 😉

    Do you use the keyboard maestro app @mikeormerod?
    You can have it even easier then... autofill like in a web browser.

    Here is my twitter post with a short video.

  • Super handy stuff! I'm gonna try it out now too :lol:
