I'm lost. I'm attempting to install 1Password on a new Mac for my wife.
I'm a longtime 1Password user, from when there were only individual licenses. We have been sharing an individual license for 1Password 6. My wife now has a new Mac. I installed 1Password on it only to discover it was the new Version 7. I upgraded to Version 7 on my machine and got a new license for $49. I added the license to her copy of the app. With 1Password 6 we had been sharing a Family vault via her Dropbox. Now, on my machine, when I attempt to sync via Dropbox and put the file in the Dropbox folder on her machine, I get a warning, "The location that you selected is on a network volume. Syncing to a network volume is not recommended." So I don't know what to do now. Am I supposed to have some other kind of account to share a vault with her?

@atrautman: Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry for the confusion! You would either need to purchase a license for each of you, or sign up for a 1Password Families membership, which includes all of the apps for up to 5 family members. It also allows you to easily share vaults securely and help family members recover their accounts if they get locked out — along with many other benefits. Let us know which you'd prefer and we'll walk you through migrating your data. :)
