Account Trial Problems, logging into account on MBP
Hi, I've started a family account trial and invited by son. His iPhone has allowed him to login and imported his logins etc and remove the old - his iPhone seems to be working ok.
On his MBP running 10.13.4 he has installed 1Password7 but we cannot get pass the subscribe screen to a login screen. We cannot get to preferences, it greyed out and the options in the Account menu are also greyed out.
We just cannot see how having upgraded and installed 1P7 (which seems to have uninstalled 1P6) he can login into the new family account.
Any help appreciated.

Hi @iwaddo,
I apologize for the inconvenience here. It seems we didn’t plan on the possibility that someone would be using 1Password 6 with standalone licensing and vaults (no membership), and then upgrade to v7 but already have an account (again that wasn’t already signed in with v6). The thought was that if someone had an account they would’ve signed into it with v6 before upgrading. We’re finding that esppecially with situations you’ve described that isn’t always the case. We have an update for 1Password 7 for Mac in the works to address this.

Ok, pleased to hear you are aware. Was v6 uninstalled by the v7 installer or must he have uninstalled it manually?
Can we download v6 from anywhere to effectively start again?

To avoid conflicts 1Password 7’s installer will clean up v6. To revert to v6 please move v7 to the trash (do not use any “cleaners” such as App Zapper or MacKeeper), empty the trash, and then restart the Mac. Then download v6 here: https://1password.com/downloads/
Thanks!

Excellent, all sorted, thank you. v6 reinstalled, to allow account login then updated to v7.
