My iPhone has a "Primary" vault that is synced through Dropbox as well as a Personal and a Shared vault listed under my 1Password username. I also have 1Password installed on my Mac desktop. My Mac seems to only want to show Vaults from my Username account. I want to be able to access my Primary vault on my Mac Desktop. I can't figure out how to do that. Thanks.

1Password Version: 7.0.6 on iPhone, 6.8.8 on Mac
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: 11.3.1 on iPhone, 10.13.4 on Mac

  • Hey @ortnpalms! You can add the Primary vault to your Mac by first enabling vaults outside your 1Password account:

    1. Open and unlock 1Password.
    2. Choose 1Password > Preferences from the menu bar, then click Advanced.
    3. Check the "Allow creation of vaults outside of 1Password accounts" box and enter your Master Password when prompted.

Then syncing that vault from Dropbox. After you do, I'd recommend moving what's inside it to your 1Password account since that's what you're using elsewhere and it's easier to keep all your devices in sync with that. You can move the items in 1Password for Mac and then remove the vault one each device by following these steps.

Let us know how that goes :)
