Broken 2FA with Google Auth

Hello!
I use 1password with 2fa and use Google app for this. But today was a problem with it - web site my.1password.com didn't accept codes from Google Auth app at all, after all I accidently deleted this app, so now i don't have even incorrect codes for my account. I still logged in on my phone and Mac but they don't have 2fa settings. I'm afraid for my data, because after time I'll lost access for this too. How do I need to turn 2fa off or what?

  • Hi @hosten,

The best thing to do for this would be to email support@1password.com and someone from our email support team can go over what to do. I'm confident that you won't lose access to your data.

  • Hi @hosten,

Me again... just something to try real quick... Have you tried signing in to the browser where you enabled two-factor authentication for 1Password? In theory that browser shouldn't ask you for the TOTP code again, so you might be able to sign in there to disable it.

Thanks for the answer, but for some reasons, my browser asks me for this code, and this is the only browser, where I was logged.

  • OK, then I recommend the email route, @hosten.

I'm waiting for a 24-hour response, but it's not there. This is good, as long as I have access, but if it were not? Support, look at my issue, please.

@hosten: I'm sorry for the confusion. We try to respond to messages in the order in which they are received. I think that's fair, but I'm sorry that means you have to wait a bit while we reply to others who have been waiting longer. I'll close this to avoid the confusion of trying to have the same conversation in multiple places, and have the security team follow up with you via email as soon as they're able to. Thanks for your patience.
