Moving the Ver 7 with Personal License. Is there a "family" version?

I see that the offer today is a standalone license. How much for a family license or is one available?

Thanks

    Hello @ONEIL

We do not offer a Family license. Our Family offering is a 1Password Families membership. A Families membership provides all the benefits of 1Password membership to 5 people in the base price. It also includes advanced, secure, configurable sharing between Family members, all within the safety of your 1Password vaults.

Thanks Corey, but I still have the question - how much is a "families" license and how do I purchase? At the new Ver7 install it's not available.

@ONEIL To be clear, 1Password Families is not a license as 1Password generally refers to them, it is a subscription-based membership. The base price for 1Password Families is $59.88/year and, as mentioned previously. that includes up to 5 people in the base price ($1/person/month for people beyond the base 5).

If you want to sign up for a Families membership, you can do so at https://1password.com/sign-up/.

I am finding that there is no year purchase as mentioned. Only two price points 4.99 0r 6.99. Do I purchase the full year after the "trial period" It's a but confusing as I can't see the price you mentioned Corey,

    @ONEIL

That's strange, the monthly rates for a yearly billing cycle are $2.99 and $4.99 respectively. Did you attempt to sign up from our website or through the app?

Through the app. 4.99 is the price point you mentioned but no option to buy it a year at a time. I still have not downloaded the new ver7 - I'm assuming the new version will copy over everything from my current ver 6.8.9

@ONEIL Ah, I see, I believe the 1Password 6 app sometimes has problems to the monthly billing cycle, particularly when Apple Subscriptions are involved. Sign up through our website over at https://1password.com/sign-up/ and it should default to the yearly cycle. Once that is done, you can add the account to the app manually and your data will be migrated over.

Instructions can be found over at https://support.1password.com/migrate-1password-account/. Follow the instructions there and you will be fine. :)

Sounds good. I did sign up at the webpage. It's only offering the the 4.99/trial in the pricing section. I cannot login to 1password.com as I have no security number.

I have created a "try it for free" signup so after the free period perhaps it will offer the yearly fee?

@ONEIL if you can sign in, you should be good to keep your current login. Is there a reason you would want to trash it?

Sorry...I may have confused you when I said I signed in through the app. I signed up at the webpage for the free trial. I wanted to purchase but it only gave the option of monthly payments, so I elected to get it up and running using the free trial. Looks like all I can do is opt for the monthly fee.

@ONEIL Hmm, in that case, take a look over at https://start.1password.com/billing. Log in and on the billing page should be a "Billing Settings" button. There should be an option to switch between monthly and yearly billing cycles.

Looked...only monthly billing is offered. If thats how it is...it will be fine.

Thanks for all your help Corey, much appreciated!

@ONEIL: Both annual and monthly billing options are available:

Annual saves a bit of money, so it's what I use. Cheers! :)
