Handoff between devices is failing with 'Could not be found'

When using handoff between an iOS devices or a Mac, I'm getting the following error:
"Our apologies, but the item you're handing off could not be found."

I've checked several logins and they're all failing.

As a troubleshooting step I deleted 1Password on my phone, re-downloaded the app and resynced all logins. Unfortunately that did not solve my problem.

    Thanks for getting in touch! I'm sorry for the trouble. Handoff is handled by the OS, so we don't have any real insight into it that can tell us why it might not be working. However, we are investigating some cases where it cannot open the item with local vaults since they can differ between devices. Also, if the main 1Password window is closed having it open can help. Let me know.
