attempt to write a readonly database

This suddenly started happening on my MacBook Pro laptop. Whenever I attempt to edit a 1Password record, and then save it, I get an error message: "attempt to write a readonly database." I am synching my 1Password database through DropBox. It is only happening on this one device. How can I fix this?
