Do licenses and subscriptions and memberships have an annual payment required?

I'm confused between the terms License, Subscriptions, and Memberships. Which ones require an annual payment to remain valid? I am on 1Password6 from the App Store currently. Can I remain on this version without having to upgrade to 7?

    Subscription, membership, and account refer to the same thing. They require an annual (or monthly) payment and are good for the latest version of 1PW on all platforms.

    Licence is a one-time purchase. This is per-person per-platform. Licences never expire and cover minor upgrades (from 1PW7.x to 1PW7.y) but major upgrades may (and probably will) require an additional payment. Changes in the OS may make a version no longer usable, though.

    Yes, you don't need to upgrade your current version if you don't want to.
