Could Not Add Software License to 1Password 7

I tried the approach I am used to, drag and drop the application on 1Password. Didn't work; window briefly appears as if it was going to add but nothing happened; repeated with same result. So, I clicked on the + sign to add an item, selected software license and entered the information. When I finished and saved it, the icon for the software appreaded briefly and then disappeared. I scrolled through all of the sofware items but it was not there. I then did a search of 1Password. It still didn't appear.
