Remove Vault after upgrade to 1P7

So I recently upgraded to IP7 but out of an abundance of caution I did not let 1P delete my old (original) vault. Now that I am sure it all works right all my passwords are duplicated. So I assume its because I know have 2 vaults.

How do I remove my original vault now?

  • Hi @joco,

You can read about how to delete the Primary vault here:

    https://support.1password.com/migrate-1password-account/#set-up-your-other-devices

I hope that helps. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to ask.

Yea I tried that but there is no Delete Vault option available. My Old Dropbox vault still shows up.

You’d need to switch to the Primary vault before the delete option will be available... were you able to successfully switch? If so the problem may be that you have multiple standalone vaults. The Primary vault must be the last deleted standalone vault.

An alternative option here would be to lock 1Password and then use the 1Password > Help > Troubleshooting > Reset All 1Password Data option, then from the welcome screen sign in to your 1Password membership. Before doing so please make absolutely certain you can sign in to your account at https://start.1password.com/

    Thanks.
