Can't find a saved password from within a bank app

I'm trying to sign into a bank's app. The login info appear in 1Password when I'm in that app. But when in the bank's app, and I a tough the key icon to access 1Password saved passwords, and I do a search for that password, it's not in the list. But it's in the list of logins when I go to the 1Password app. What's going on? Why can't I see a password that is definitely saved and accessible within 1Password?

  • Hi @crunchyjax,

Which bank are you seeing this with?

@crunchyjax: I think you may be mistaking something else for 1Password. I'm not seeing any indication that their app(s) support 1Password, but I'm seeing a lot here so maybe I'm just looking at the wrong thing.

Could you please clarify what you're seeing? If it's simpler, take a screenshot of this. To include it in your reply, simply click the document button in the top of the comment field, and select the file you wish to share:

I'm attaching a screen shot from my phone. Note the "key" icon in the middle on the right. When I touch that, I get my 1Password passwords (after doing the touch ID), but the Unity password is not there. When I open the 1Password app, the Unity Bank password is listed.

That key is Apple’s iCloud Keychain, not 1Password. Please see this guide for information on how to access 1Password from within Safari:

Use the 1Password extension to fill in Safari and apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

    I hope that helps!

Glad that helped! Hopefully this will be less confusing in the future, if Apple allows 1Password to be accessed through that as well. Cheers! :)
