Under what circumstances would I see a share button in the password field of my iOS app?

As I was logging in to 1Password on my ipad my fingerprint failed because my hands were wet. I plugged in my password incorrectly so it was rejected (turned red). I hadn’t been focused so I decided to turn off the IPad and start over. So that worked, no problem. At some point during this whole process I recall seeing a share icon where one inputs the password. Because I am such a security phobe it concerns me that I may have done something weird. I have the stand alone app that is up to date version on ipad, iphone and Mac. I sync via icloud. Thanx in advance for any help.

@1swimmer: The Share [ ↑ ] button is typically only shown in browsers, as it's there not specifically for 1Password but for anything that offers an iOS extension — Dropbox, Pocket, etc. — or built in iOS Share functions like Copy, Print, and others.

Instead, apps that have built in support specifically for 1Password's iOS extension will typically show the 1Password logo. For example, Facebook:

The 1Password extension for iOS isn't something we can build into other apps ourselves, but many developers have added support for it. Otherwise it is necessary to copy and paste.

However, we have a website devoted to the 1Password extension for developers, so be sure to let them know you'd like them to add support for it and point them in our direction. We're always happy to help them join the ranks of apps that support the 1Password iOS extension!

I hope this helps. Be sure to let me know if you have any other questions! :)
