Does 1P for macOS enable automatic password-filling for applications, as opposed to websites?

@dhercher from this AgileBits' web page:

    Fill logins in apps
1Password will show you relevant logins for the app you’re using, so you can quickly sign in. Just drag the username and password.

I haven't found that to be the case. There doesn't appear to be a 1P category for applications, although there is one for passwords. How does one set up a password item so that 1P relates the item to the app?

@dhercher simply use the Logins category. There is a thread about use of this feature here and you may find this post in that thread helpful.

@dhercher - at the present moment, there's no way to interact directly with applications from within 1Password...but that ability will be coming, from Apple, at some point. So we're doing what we can to prepare for that day. As @Stephen_C says, using the Logins category should work fine for you for now, but let us know if that's not the case -- and remember, 1Password mini can only show you items related to the app that's frontmost, for now -- not fill into them. Cheers! :)
