Can the Browser Extension be a different version to the main 1Password App?

Hi,

I have 1Password installed on my Mac with High Serria 10.13.6
I notice I have to login to both the main app and the Browser extension.
I have now noticed I can make changes in 1 and these are not reflected in the other.
It appears I may have 2 versions of 1 Password running?

My main App version is
1Password 7
Version 7.0.7 (70007000)
AgileBits Store

I use Firefox as a browser and this has 1Password extension v 4.7.2.90 installed, last updated on July 2, 2018.

Do I have a problem?
Is the extension using a different vault?
How do I resolve this?

    @itisilefunk - sorry for the trouble you're having just now. I can't really say what might be going on with 100% certainty without taking a closer look at your specific setup, though it does sound as if you may have multiple versions of 1Password for Mac installed. To get a better idea, however, I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Mac:
