Hi folks. How can I use 1Password with Firefox (for form filling) if I don't have a 1Password account? I'm using Dropbox sync. There appears to be no way to tell the 1Password X extension about my Dropbox sync.

Thanks

@johnbillion: 1Password X is designed for 1Password.com. You cannot use one without the other. The 1Password desktop apps have their own extensions which you can use:

I hope this helps. Be sure to let me know if you have any other questions! :)

Thanks. Why are there are two different extensions for Firefox? That's confusing. Only 1Password X shows up in the Firefox extensions directory: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/search/?platform=mac&q=1password

@johnbillion: Yep! I didn't want to bore you with the details, but since you asked... 1Password X exists because not everyone is able to run a 1Password app on their computer: Linux, Chrome OS, or just restrictive work environments. So 1Password X is designed to run entirely in the browser. You can learn more here:

There are a lot of even more boring reasons having to do with build processes that the desktop extension is not in Mozilla's index, but it's something we'd like to change in the future. Cheers! :)
