Welcome to the forum, @d_tad! I'm not sure what to tell you on that one: we have literally no control over what occurs with Face ID - we simply call the iOS process, and it either returns to 1Password for iOS a success token or a failure token. The actual Face ID component is 100% iOS. I say that not to try to dodge addressing your problem, but because I'm hard-pressed to think of any reason it would work throughout the rest of your iPhone X's systems, but not in 1Password 7 for iOS.

The ONLY thing -- and I assume you've already checked this -- is to make sure you've visited Settings > Security and checked that "Face ID" toggle is turned on. If not, turn it on. If it IS turned on already, try toggling it off, waiting a few seconds, and then toggling it back on again. Let me know how that works for you!

Where do you mean ‘security’? I don’t see that in settings. Are you referring to Face ID & Passcode?

  • @d_tad,

Inside of 1Password itself we have a toggle to enable Touch ID or Face ID unlock. Unlock 1Password and navigate to the settings tab in the bottom right corner. From there navigate to Security, you should then see Lock Now, Lock on Exit, Auto-Lock and Face ID settings.

Thanks. It was enabled. I just turned it off and turned it back and it seems to work.
    Thanks again

  • Excellent. Thank you for the update @d_tad. Glad to hear that got it working. If we can be of further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
