Why don't my iPhone and MacBook passwords sync despite my Family membership?

Dear 1Password support team,

I'm probably missing something obvious, but my iPhone 1Password doesn't seem to be synching with my MacBook 1Password, although I have a Family membership. For example, I can't see an entry for Wireless Routers on my iPhone, though that exists when I look at my MacBook.

I did see in a related thread how to produce diagnostics reports for both devices and can send these should they be needed.

Best regards,

jiwi

  • @jiwi,

Sending in diagnostics reports for the devices in question will definitely be the first step here so that the support team can see how you have the devices configured. Most likely you've got data in local vaults rather than your Family membership on one or more of the devices. The support team will work to figure out what's needed in order to get you back into a good configuration.

Coming back to this months later: It was a user problem, of course. It wasn't clear to me how to display "All Vaults" on my iPhone 1Password, and only the elements in my Personal vault were displaying.

  • Gotcha. Thanks for the update @jiwi. For anyone else reading: the vault switcher at the upper left corner of the 1Password application can be used to change to the "All Vaults" view.

    Ben
