Can't Access Vault on New Mac

Hey Guys,

I got a new mac and imported all my data from my old mac to the new mac. 1password imported too but it didn't work, so I deleted it and redownloaded. Now that I have it redownloaded, I can't get in because it is asking me to login as a member, even though I never had it before (I've had 1Password for years now).

Here are two screencasts showing the exact problem we're having... can someone help?

Thank you,

    Hi @vpsean

The issue here is 1Password 7, specifically that 1Password 7 is a paid upgrade and not covered by your original purchase as licenses are version-specific. I would suggest downloading your licensed 1Password 6 copy in the interim, but due to the limitations of the Mac App Store, we can't do that if you no longer have access to the Apple ID that purchased it.

In order to get through on 7, you have to make a purchase of some sort, either by signing up for a 1Password membership or purchasing a new 1Password membership. I would suggest the membership route as it comes with a whole whack of benefits that you can read about over at https://support.1password.com/why-membership.

Hopefully that straightens things out a little bit for you. :)
